Hi,
My name is Vicki and I just signed in for the first time. I am fairly new to this but love to take pics. I learned of this site a couple of months age while on a trip to Branson, MO. I was getting my oil changed and a nice gentleman noticed my camera and struck up a conversation with me. I learned a lot in the short time I talked with him.
I am looking forward to seeing photos and learning more.

Welcome, Vicki! (And thank you for spelling things like "site" correctly!) Everyone learns differently, but there are a few givens with photography: 1) look at and think about as many photos as you can (here, books, magazines, other photographers' sites, etc.); 2) take lots of photos yourself, and try to understand why you like or dislike the results, and 3) don't be afraid to ask questions. Dig in!

Aloha Vicki and welcome to UHH. You've come to a great site where one can learn a lot. Post a photo and you'll have many people providing information on how you can make it better. But the main thing is to go out and enjoy our great hobby and enjoy.
