I found this sow about 1/2 mile south of, appropriately, Grizzley Lake trailhead. Wanted to post one for the days efforts. Overnighting in West Yellowstone, MT before heading back into the park in the morning. Trying to find a male example that I can get close enough to for some shots. Saw one today but he was over 3/4 mile away.
All I ave with me is the netbook and no software on it so this is uncropped and straight out of camera.

Stay tuned for further updates!

Good shot and thanks for sharing this. She looks very thin, time for her to fatten up so keep your distance! Have a great trip and I will be looking for more of your postings. 8-)

They are always thin and hungry after coming out of hibernation. But jer fur looked really nice, she is a healthy sow.

You've likely already found this scrolling down UHH but the timing may be a little off.

By the looks of this shot with your new lens you aren't going to be around much, just like you said. Well, have a blast with it and see you in the fall. LOL

I thought I read somewhere that, if you're a senior citizen, you can get a lifetime pass to all the national parks for a very low, one-time fee.

I have been known to be wrong, and more often than I'd like.
