Thanks for looking and sharing. St. George area is high desert and even though most of Utah is considered desert our area is extremely desert. But the desert at certain times of year are exceptionally beautiful. But the red color of our rock make it so. The red color of our rocks are from oxidated iron in the ground. This process locks up the iron so it is not good for much but the color.
You live in a beautiful corner of the world. Nice shots.

Nice shots of what looks like beautiful rugged country. I think a couple of them could have benefited from a bit of HDR, but that's just my opinion.
