Thank you Swan.
The night before the moon had quite a lot of earthshine allowing me to see the dark parts as well. I was already setup imaging Orion or I would have shot that as well.
Sonny always gives me a hard time because I like to shoot freehand whenever I feel I can get away with it. Sometimes it works and others it doesn't.
Tonights worked quite well so I am sure to get a bit of grief back eventually. If Sonny ever gets out of bed.
( I show he's online but he may have nodded off at the keyboard...)

Thanks Craig.
Just simple sniper sighting techniques to keep things steady.
Deep breath and slowly let it out picking just the right moment to squeeze the shot.

Sometimes that doesn't work too well either..... when the camera starts reacting to my heartbeat I know it's time to stop. Well, maybe time for the ricebag or a tripod first :) :)

I'm always online.
I'm just not always present.
I let my computers run 24/7, auto update, always hot. If I shake the mouse and get a start up screen, that irritates me.
It usually means Microslop did an update and I might have to fix my computer.
Or at the least, wait while it sorts out the Microslop errors during boot.
Been getting some lately, and that irritates me.

That said, UHH is my home page, so if the browser is open, so is UHH, generally.
And I may be looking, I might be watching, but sitting quietly, like a big cat ready to pounce.
Or I might be swatting flies elsewhere.

I'm like a fart. You just hope I don't turn up in your elevator.
:x
I'm heerrre...... (ET)

Nice Moon shot! I do admire your skills, Jim.
I don't play poker, so that has never gotten in my way.

There's a quote from "The Bucket List" that I like.
One of three things when you get old.
"Never trust a fart".
