Celestron C8 f/10 2300mm scope at ISO 400 for 90 seconds.
White balance corrected in Canon Photo Pro.
Single shot will try to stack tomorrow.

Edit. Added a quick 7 shot test stack.
Added 63 second uncropped star trail to verify against satellite images. If cropped I think I make my case. These match up pretty close to the satellite images in my uncropped images.

What a wonderful start to learning that camera.
Sonny and I are jealous of your clear skies.
I thought I would tweak the Stack, hope you don't mind.
I have nothing else to do in our El Nino

Pretty nice job of drawing out the color.
What did you use and why didn't you store the final?
Hemmmmm?
;)
Also sitting here in the cold light of morning I realized that my star trails posted above will be shorter than my Orion trails because I was pointed closer to North. I shot that looking towards Cassiopeia. Orion is much further South so the rate of apparent rotation will be greater.

Here's the Store Original just for fun.
Let's see what it looks like full size.
It was a fun project to do in Lightroom and a fine subject to work with.
And yes your star trails would have been considerably longer at Orion.

I may try to get a really good shot of running man next.
It should show pretty well with this camera.
I assume that I need to get the belt star next to the horsehead out of frame to keep from washing it out? Krickie it's a bright star.

Don't worry you can't get it out it out it's too close.
Do lots of lights and you will be thrilled.
Here's one my friend took with the Canon T3i IR. 3x5 min lights, 3x5 min darks. PP in PixInsight.

Should I see anything in singles or only in stacks?

Not much in the singles without blowing out the whites in processing.
But it will be there.
I tried it with my regular camera and got nothing.
