Microsoft Abandons 'Windows 8', Upgrade Now Or Be Cut Off Like Windows XP ...
I'm not writing to brag that Apple doesn't do a similar thing. I simply don't know it for a fact. However, when it comes at least to Apple's iOS, I'm not yet convinced that there's a pre-meditated form of planned obsolescence. Rather, the older iPads work more slowly as they are upgraded with new iOS and their Apps similarly get upgraded. Apple's explanation is just that with respect to the unupgradable CPU in the older iPads. Is there any similarity between the iPad plight and those of the Android system or MS' Windows system?

Me too
IMHO, Win10 may not have been Microsoft's worst screw-up, but it sure dis-satisfied more people than anything before it!!

And what do you base that on?
According to Windows Secrets:
"Official support for the original version of the much-maligned Windows 8 ended this past Jan. 12. Note, however, that Windows 8.1 isn't affected; its Extended Support period won't expire until Jan. 10, 2023."
So, to stay supported by Microsoft just upgrade to Windows 8.1 if you are still on Windows 8.0
As for the statements about the worst versions of Windows, Vista was probably the top of the list followed by Windows ME.
That is just my opinion based on years of supporting thousands of users in the corporate world, and trying to support various hardware versions and software applications under those OS environments.
