Hi, guys. I got an email from Costco saying that their print operations in Greenville and Spartanburg are shutting down. I talked to the woman running one of them last night and she said they will have the on site printers only in major metro areas. You can still upload pics for print but they will be done at a remote location and delivered in 5-7 days. I know quite a few of you on this site use Costco and it was nice to upload a print and pick it up same day. I'm sure a few of you received the same mail.

Hi

I use the Bridgewater, NJ Costco. I did not receive an email. I'm wondering if I missed it or maybe my local will not be closing. Is there a list of the ones who will be closing?

Thanks,
Mark

The Costco rep, who I see all the time, said that in the Carolinas the only one she knew that was remaining was Charleston. Whether that will be an east coast depot or it just does a great business wasn't clear.

Just talked with the girl at the local Costco the other day. The only thing she said was about the time when their film processor died and they literally couldn't get parts for it any more, so that ended their ability to process film. She said nothing about closing, though, but sometimes the workers are the last to know, too.

No email here in the Los Angeles area. But the one I go to in San Dimas, CA did say they plan to stop processing film sometime soon in January or February. Next time I'm at Costco, perhaps Thursday, I'll ask. Also their online photo services did get hacked last year and you had to bring your files for printing to a actual Costco location for printing. It was back online by November.

Thanks. I doubt my local will close. It is an extremely busy center. Mark

Since I live 6 miles from this Costco (Greenville), I got a letter stating our particular store would no longer offer anything except 5 -7 day processing. It didn't mention the store in Spartanburg 15 miles away.

Same for Phoenix and Scottsdale -- I get frequent emails promoting everything from prints, cards, calendars and photo books and everytime I'm in the local store, the photo counter is always busy, so nothing to indicate their closing.

I just returned from our Myrtle Beach Costco. The manager in the photo dept. told me all Costco in store photo printing would end by Feb 14 nationwide. She said it became too expensive to continue.

I used to live nearby in Sunset Beach, NC. I hope that information is not true. Thanks.

No word from Costco photo in Rocklin, California. That dept is ALWAYS busy. Almost daily receive email advertising their photo processing capabilities.
