I uploaded some pics to mpix and the largest size it says i can print is 5x7. I use the highest image recording quality that i can. I shoot a Canon T3i and a Canon 40d and I would like to get 8x10s and maybe larger. What am I doing wrong? By the way I uploaded them from Picasa if that matters
It must be a Picasa issue - or the size you originally uploaded to Picasa.
Your native file should make great 16x20 and larger. Skip the Picasa step and upload direct from your computer and DO NOT lower the file size appreciably.
Not sure about your system but with mac computer I export photos at the size I want, 100%, 50%, and so on. Do you have to preset your export photo size? Check you email preferences and make sure photos are sent full size.

Go straight to mpix.com and use their uploader . I can get 20x30 from my EOS 20D . Hope this helps
thanks for the help i will give these a try when i get home. thanks again
Just in case;
If you're not using RAW check that you don't have your camera set to a smaller recording size for Jpg.
RAW gives you full size recordings where Jpg will give you only what you set the camera to record, which may be too small for the picture size.
I have the T2i, and have printed 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36 with no problems at all. When I used MPIX (don't anymore), the only limit they set for me was the fact that size was the largest they print.

It's the picasa upload setting. It gives you the option of original size, but that's not the default. The default is 1600 by something. So, picasa works fine, you just need to pay attention to the upload window options
I just got home and tried it and checked and changed the setting and it worked fine, I just need to pay closer attention to the settings but it is a little confusing for a newbie but that's no excuse, shame on me. Thanks for all the help, again this is why i love this site!!
