I posted something similar to this in the Gallery section a little while ago. This is BW and and a slightly different perspective
I like the degree of contrast in the print. It has a good "feel" to it.

Mood, feeling, and subject matter. All come together as a very good example of street photography.

Love this shot. What a feeling. Alone and close - all at once. One of the better postings in this section I have seen to date and certainly much better than the crap I posted last evening.
Oh well - still learning at these advanced years.

great example of the absolute tyranny of well perceived linear perspective. the isolTed couple in silhouette would be the unarguable subject wherever they may have been along the path to the vanishing point!
Like it a lot!

This is a showstopper. Content, composition, the feeling of being there are all captured so well. I wish this was mine.

I have never known you to say that about any other photograph posted anywhere in UHH. That's the ultimate compliment.

I missed the most important thing...mood, it just oozes the stuff.

Thanks to all of you for our kind and generous comments.
Luck had far more to do with this image (actually the whole series) than any skill or artistic sensibility that I have.
It had been raining the night before and just before dawn, the rain stopped and the fog began to roll in. I was leaving that morning (in fact, the cameras were packed) I decided to take a camera and walk over to Jackson Square (I had been a gallery the day before admiring some NOLA fog photos that are far better than anything that has ever come out of my camera) to see what I could see.
This was a rare moment when the conditions and timing were perfect. I was just lucky to be there.
Thanks again.

We all rely heavily on luck when taking street photographs, it's an ingredient of the genre.
