I don't really know why you're having problems. You open the SET UP4 menu and click the Custom Shooting Mode (C1-C3) option. Click the Register Setting option, then decide on which Custom Shooting Mode you want this collection of configuration data saved. That's all there's to it. But you can set it up also in the "My Menu"!!

Did you try that because when I do these settings the C program is no longer available
And when I go into my menu and set it in there it will not hold these settings

That is indeed strange, but did you remember that you can only put six items into "MY Menu", if you already have 6 Menu items, you'll have to delete one and replace it with the new?

Yes that is correct
I have no problem setting up HDR in there but when I try to add the effect into it as well that option is not there anymore

I do too have HDR Mode in "My Menu" as well, but jast as quick way to get in to HDR mode. I have not set-up the parameters, as they will change from shot to shot ( I do not shoot all HDR's with the same settings). Maybe there is something I do not know of that's blocking the parameters. But since I shoot HDR's different each time, it does not concern me, but it does provide quick access to the HDR Mode when shooting. (set-up in there is fast)!
Sorry if this in of no help!

Like I said the HDR in the C mode works fine it is when I want to add the effect to it is blocked or not available

I don't understand why you would set up a C (user-programmable custom) mode with HDR...

Every HDR shot has to be differently exposed. You wouldn't want the same bracketing and other factors applied to it every time. So you'd basically need to change and modify the C-mode every time you went to make an HDR shot, wouldn't you? I just suspect it would be more trouble to have a C-mode for it, than it's worth!

That is not really the question I want to know why I can't do it, and maybe you are on to something and that is why you can't program it I just want to know
Thanks for your answer
