I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and installed LR 5.7 without ANY problems.

It is my understanding that where there actually HAVE been problems with LR, they were on Windows 7 machines that were updated with the program and catalogs already residing on the updated computer.

My last Windows 7 computer with LR 5.7 died so I can't test this theory by upgrading it... but it would seem that if you buy a new machine with Win10 installed, there shouldn't be any issues.

mine was a windows 7 updated to windows 8 and now to windows 10.

Dave... a question:

Are you thinking of buying a Windows 10 machine to put Light Room on... or are you upgrading an existing computer with LR 5.7 on it to Windows 10?

no I have a dell xps 8500 I think came with windows 7 . the windows go mess up file missing couldn't find a copy to load a fix so I went to windows 8 that I don't like. window 10 is a lot like windows 8 but my be a little easier for me to use.

^^^If you upgrade your computer from Win8 to Win10 do this first:

SAVE ALL YOUR FILES AND CATALOGS FIRST!!! Best if you save them to an external hard drive, but if not, save them to something that will read back fast.

Then do the upgrade.

Once that's done, try to launch LR 5.7. IF there are problems, then copy your saved files and catalogs BACK into your internal hard drive.

GOOD LUCK!
