Looks like two new Nikons are poised to come out; the D5 flagship full frame and the D500 flagship crop frame. The long awaited D400 has been skipped to offer the D500, a followup to the D300s according to Nikon spokesmen. You can learn what is out there now about these two on DPReview where there is also a short video about the two cameras.

I'll wait for something that offers at least FOUR minutes of 4K recording capability. Three minutes don't quite cut it.

In the interview video the spokesman said it could output live Bluetooth to an external device with no size limitations. Good enough?

There is already lot of discussion about those cameras here on the forum. Type d5 or d500 in the search window and you will be able to catch up

Nope. For $6,500.00 I don't expect to have to hook up any additional gear to get basic capability.

The D5 will do 29:59, for about $6,500.

One of the most amazing features on both cameras is the AF-fine tune. It will allow you to automatically calibrate the Phase Detect AF module for any given. You do this in live view via a few commands. This is a real plus for these Nikon cameras. It also logs the info in the camera for the next time you attach the same lens. You used to have to use a long list of steps to accomplish this. THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that bothered him. He was just informing you that there are already several threads on the topic. If you are interested, I've listed four of them from pages 2 and 3 (as of this moment) containing over over 20 pages of posts. There may be more.

New news or old news, it is always a treat to see what the next generation of camera technology is offering. I got tired of waiting for the "D400" and the D4/D5 is out of my $$$ range, so a year ago I opted for the D750 and don't regret it one iota. It is a terrific camera that at my age will provide all the years of service I may need. Now I'm working on lens acquisition one at a time!

The average person only shoots about 30 sec. at a time.
