Lt, Col Mark Weber

I came upon this by accident but it will stay with me forever. This is courage at it's finest and humblest.
A very proud man with his even more proud son of his father---

Lt Col Weber- your country should be proud of you along with all the other women and men who chose to wear a uniform and go where they are needed no questions asked!

We have a neighbor across the street who was in the Canadian Army and has returned from Afghanistan 6 months ago, don't see to much of him but we've been hit pretty hard with snow lately and I was out shoveling and he was out doing the same, I was finished and he was still slugging away so I grabbed a couple beer and my shovel and went across the street to help him. We opened the beer and finished off their driveway and the beer so I asked him if he wanted another one, he said sure so we come over to my man cave for a few more and somehow the subject got onto his 3 yrs in Afghanistan, I didn't do to much talking but let me tell ya I did a whole lot of listening. To say I could picture the things he was trying to tell me I'd come up short.

I don't know what it's like in the States but up here in Canada, Veterans Affairs is a joke, the Syrian immigrants are treated/paid better than these brave Soldiers.

Good for you Swede! It's the same here in the US, our veterans are not given the respect they deserve, for the most part.

God Bless Lt. Col. Mark Weber and all of the men and women who serve! In the US we a private service called the wounded warrior project. I don't understand why we would need such a thing! You would think that after these men and women who are gravely injured and in need of therapy and extensive rehabilitation would be taken care of by the country that they served. But I guess the US government like the Canadian gov. is too f'd up to do the right thing!

Thank you sir ! I am proud to say I would follow where you lead and would be glad to have you as my earthly father ! Realizing I am 80 years on this earth would make it impossible ! I was an Airman for my four years and proud of my uniform, flag and time in ! I have viewed it two times already and saving for future viewing ! I am in prayer for you and your beautiful family ! They are proud as well !

Before our President takes my gun away, I would like to kill Beauford for the brave warrior.

Thanks for the post. I'm glad to read what you did. Unfortunately here in the US things are not any different as far as veterans are concerned.

I believe there is a cure for "Beauford" unfortunately the people in charge are not in charge.

Same here in the USA. From a disabled vet. Illegal aliens get free college for their kids. Mine pay full price.

In the US the president dislikes, disregards, disrespects and disavows the military at every opportunity he gets.

I probably shouldn't say anything but that pisses me off, royally. I was in the active Navy when Richard Nixon was elected. I neither trusted nor liked Nixon (read Tim Weiner's "One man against the world" ) but he was the president - MY president. I never disrespected him no matter how much he deserved it.

I follow the news fairly closely (not FOX) and have NEVER heard or seen any of the things you say about President Obama's attitude toward the service (Fifty-five years ago, I joined "the service, not the military" ). What kind of a citizen can have his own facts?

I worry that our nation is made extraordinarily vulnerable to organizations like ISIS because so many people would rather fight than follow the leader. We would rather have a civil war than fight the murder Muslims.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Divide and Conquer?" Well, we're really divided and you're part of the cause. What do you think comes next?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, as ridiculous and misguided as it is. You appear to be the perfect example of a political pawn blindly following the propaganda spouted by the administration and a horribly biased media. Do some independent research and you will find how mistaken you are. By the way, Nixon, as big a jerk as he was, did not disrespect the military and in fact got us out of Nam, saving countless American lives.
