Corky these are great. The white Ibis are exposed perfectly and the Glossys are beautiful. I never see them on the river. I'll have to read up on them. Anyway, very good job.

Very nice! I have never seen a glossy ibis. We will be going to Merritt Island in Feb. hopefully, there will still be some around at that time.

You did a nice job with these.

If I may make a suggestion, when possible, leave room in the frame for the feet, even if you can't see them. Your next to last picture, for example, has more than enough room on top, but the poor bird has its legs cut off. :)

It just looks a little more natural, if that's what you are looking for.

Excellent Shots, Corky. Your Ibises (Ibi?) are a lot different to ours.

Good morning Carol, So glad that you liked and thanks very much for the kind words. I believe that this is the fourth year that we have visited Black Point Trail and have seen at least a few Glossy Ibis each time, but this was the best year so far, and were fortunate in making a few decent shots. Last year I don't think we saw more than two and they were quite a distance from us. Thanks again and take care.

Thanks so very much Ellie and that should be a great time to visit. We usually visit in late Feb---early March but needed to go at this time. The visitor center people said that we were a little early, but several spoonbills had been seen the previous day, and couldn't hardly believe it when we saw at least eight or so later that day! Hope you have a great trip and will look forward to seeing your postings!

Thanks, Bill and appreciate the kind words and agree that it look better when you can show all the lower portions of the birds and have heard that quote more than once, probably the last time on Steve's e-book! My only feeble defense is we were on the driving trail along with other vehicles, so sometimes cannot stop but a very short time to fire off some shots. I try to pull off enough to allow others to pass, but not always possible, and my wife seems to be a little nervous about swimming! :-) Obviously I didn't position the bird in the optimum position, but thought a well focus capture of these birds was worth including. I don't know how I have missed seeing some of your work, but took this opportunity to view some on your website and am very impressed, really some beautiful work, and am adding you to my buddy list. I really appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. Take care!
