I like the amount of space you have given it. It tells the story of why the structure was built there. It's on high ground that would safegard against spring flooding. I also like the perspective with the mountains rising up behind the structure. It's an amazing view. I wonder how it would look as a b&w. I love when old wooden structures are done in b&w. I think the mountains would look pretty dramatic as well.

Thank you Sandra.
Notice that this is NOT a wooden building. The winds are horrendous and while I don't know if the cement is because of the wind or because they cut down all of the trees several generations earlier, it is interesting. I will give the B&W a try.

ooops... didn't realize that, but I do like the contrast it gives against the background.

Looks just fabulous, esp when downloaded. A bit -- and a mean a *wee* bit more clarity on the background mountains?

Great shot. If those walls could talk I imagine they could tell many a tale.

I really like the blue sky reflecting off the foreground snow in this colour version, but overall I like the B&W version better. I love the wide open spaces feel of this shot. I think the foreground is necessary for balance and I am glad that it is a bit OOF and doesn't distract from the subject. I do think the snow fields in the background are a bit overexposed and the buildings could stand a bit more definition and contrast.

The download is the best way to appreciate this photo. In the download the DOF allows the viewer to truly feel the mountain range in the back ground.
