Really cool! Still amazes me that we haven't been back there since.
Just noticed that you shoot with a 5DII. I've been thinking about getting one of those as a foray into FF (my 7DII comes today!!!). I would love to know what you think of it. Everyone raves about the III, but that is beyond my means. If you don't want to bore everyone, you could PM me, although this group is not as touchy as some about going off-topic!

I've been very happy with it for landscape, macro and street photography. I still prefer the extra .6 boast with the 7D for Astro-photography however and I use the 7D for sports because of the 8FPS shutter. I usually only see 6 but its enough.

I do my astro stuff with the T4i - the tilting screen is an absolute. Of course, you mount to a scope, so that is a different situation. To get mine high enough to not break my neck, I would have to have one heck of a tripod.
My 7DII was just delivered, so I am buried in boxes and packing materials, but the cat is happy in the box! Once I get that set up so I can use it, I will be putting my 7D up for sale. I want to try my hand at sports (I drive a bus full of kids to their basketball games), and the 10 FPS should help me out there.
When I sell the 7D, I am thinking of a 5DII, to break into FF. I had thought about the 5DIII, but the 7DII seems to be rated higher for everything except the FF. I certainly couldn't afford both! I like the longer reach of the 7 for airplane shots, and it will help with the sports. I do like the idea of FF for landscapes. Not sure what difference it will make for the macro.
Thanks for the response.

While no where near the same league, I found that by putting the biggest, fastest, meanest SD card recommended for my camera in it, I finally got the frame rate it advertised. It was a roll of the dice, ordering an $80 dollar SD card (for me). But it paid off big time. Plus it downloads much faster in the slot in the computer. If you don't already have, maybe a card could help?
That is a really cool Flickr Album Jim, thanks for posting it.
PS: I use the Sony 95mb/sec 32GB card, works great. It can keep up with my BIF photos. Phil remember that the more resolution the slower the frame rate.

I am using a 600X Ultra DMA CompactFlash card but I do shoot raw.
The really nice thing about the Apollo album is that they are all public domain photographs.
If you have a minute I posted a shot in the weather photo contest you may like. There are going to be some pretty nice shots in there I think. ;)

I too have the CF slot in my D800E regular Camera and I'll look into getting one.
I'm going to start using that Camera for more Birds In Flight (BIF) shots this spring.
