Much of what he does has no effect on criminals, including terrorists. It only makes things more difficult for the law abiding citizens.
Existing laws not working is the point. One reason they do not is that they are not enforced. Hiring more people to enforce them is OK with NRA and me.
As is doing something to help potential suicides. No gun law will affect that: they'll use something else without help. 2/3 of gun deaths are suicides. But saying that is "because of guns" is silly.
