When you leave Flagstaff heading toward Page you come to the Sunset crater turnoff. Go into the park past the crater about 25 or so miles and you will see this site on your right hand.

Your picture of Red Rock would be more dramatic if it was cropped to do away with the ground and have the green brush at the bottom. The ground distracts from the picture

I'm not surprised that you don't recognise this ruin. It would take over a lifetime to see all he ruins in this one state. It is estimated that Wupatki Natl. Monument (few miles N. of Flagstaff) has over 1000 unexcavated ruins.

I love the concept... but the two elements compete for attention too much for me. I believe the chosen "subject" of this photo is the church in the background, right?
Sometimes, I do the opposite with my photos than others. I make the subject a little more subtle than something in the foreground on purpose. Sorta makes the viewer explore the photo a bit more... which is really what I as the photographer, want.
For #1, I might have played up the cactus(?) in the front a bit more, maybe with slightly more depth of color or something. Someone else might have done the opposite and played up the church or maybe the cross on the church, etc.
But then again, I'm an amateur in EVERY sense of the word and am really in no position to critique.

It seems tha ther was some intermingling between tha Anasazi and the Sinaguas. It has been a while since I took this shot but I believe that I am correct in labeling it Anasazi.

I have to agree with this. Love the second. On the third, I'm sure the size of this is more impressive than the photo leads to believe. What do you do though when there is nothing around to judge this by. You take the photo anyway. Then you share it with friends. The second one would be hanging on my wall in a 11 * 14 or larger if I took it.

notnoBuddha makes a good point about #1, th cactis in the foreground if it was darkened as if it was in a shadow during the shoot I think it would be right on the money, as for the focus i feel it adds to the subject of the photo, a mood. It's a good shot!
