In my mind, the most beautiful of all the Egrets. Such a pleasure to see and photograph. In order to see these birds in the winter we have to travel close to 3000 miles, but dang it tis well worth it. They look and act just like ballerina's in their long white gowns.
The Sandhill Crane ain't no slouch in the dancing department, but it just doesn't have the beauty of the Egret.

Hi LittleRed, I fully agree with your opinion re the beauty and grace of Egrets and you fully illustrated that with these exquisite photographs. These are very beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen a more graceful image of a Sandhill on the ground. It is a treat to see your work, thanks.

Your Egret in action shots are really beautiful. They do have a special grace to their movements. I love the Sand Hill shot. I see a lot of them but this one is posing in a very pleasing manner. You captured great detail in that show also.

Thanks for looking. Normally these characters are found wading in the marshes. However this bird appeared to be trying to pick up some small fish near the surface of a lake. He didn't appear to be very successful while we were there.

Just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I see your "motto" is "Have Camera, Will Travel". Since we live most of the year up here in the cold north our card says "Have Camera, Willl Migrate".
