This is my first attempt at shooting a cat. I'm always doing dogs so how hard could it be. Out of a dozen shots, this one was my favourite.

I take lots of cat pictures, but if asked if I have taken any pictures lately, I'll say no. Cat pictures don't count. At least not if you live with one.

My last photo teacher mentioned that, with cats, it can't hurt to select the eyes, and brighten them up a bit.

The best thing about this photo is the color and detail in the stairs.

I think your selection of background for this cat is perfect. The colors blend beautifully.The tongue sticking out adds a lot of interest to the photo too.
