Walking around the Cathedral grounds. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies. Perfect for black and white pics.
Nice shots. I love European architecture...
I am curious about when you went. My wife and I were supposed to go to Paris in March with a side trip to Italy before visiting a friend in the Netherlands but in view of recent events, we decided to postpone. If it was recent, I was wondering about the relative climate towards Americans.

I've lived here in Basel Switzerland for the past 2 years. Shooting all this wonderful architecture is easy when you are only walking distance away. Being Canadian isn't a problem here with the Swiss people. I've run into lots of Americans here. All of them enjoy the city here.

Excellent set.
Thanks for taking a look Jim. I always feel nostalgic shooting Black and White, just as I did when I first took up photography in the 70's.
Thanks Ivan, I'm sure most of the world is fine but when Disney closed the park outside of Paris, it was just another reason to cause concern.
We originally intended to take a ferry from Calais to Dover but when my wife saw the news article about the refugee camp with thousands of people trying to get to England, the brakes went on really hard.
It's a sad state of affairs when people can't be left alone to live their lives in peace but this isn't a new idea and neither one of us wanted to spend our time there looking over our shoulders.
Beautiful.
Built when the buildings and churches were beautiful and not bland ugly rectangles.
