My granddaughter, still on school holiday break, came to visit yesterday. She brought her little sister along, and we took a few shots for her. C&C always welcome.

I do not know about any technical issues but the two with her smiling are
my favorites and of those the one with her hands under her chin Is best in my opinion.
Beautiful young lady well photographed.

Rick, number three, hands under chin, best of the bunch. Most genuine smile, most comfortable expression, most approachable looking. Number one and two, to me she looks somewhat judgemental and unapproachable, and in number four, she looks like she is tired of smiling so she forced a last one for grandpa.

You sure don't look old enough in your avatar to have a grand daughter, must be the lighting you used. ;=)

Thank you for viewing and taking the time to comment. Your favorite and mine are the same. :)

Well, Jon, the first two images displayed were taken later in the shoot. Image 3 was also my favorite, and the first to be processed.

The young lady loves the camera, and will do a good job of giving you whatever expression you ask of her.

And, as far as my age, I'm old enough to be a great-grandpa. But, I never want to completely lose a sense of youthful spirit that I associate with my avatar ... and, I'm too lazy to change it. :)

Number three is fantastic. I think however that both 3 & 4 would be improved with a little separation from the background.

Thank you, BigDen. There was an Einstein 640 used as a separation/hair light, placed high behind the model at camera right. However, it was set almost a stop lower than the main light, and it was restricted by a 10 degree grid. I guess not enough light made it to the far shoulder.

Probably #3, but in any case, she sure is photogenic!
