The codec for the video format you are trying to open. Search for <file type> codec on google and use 1 of the reputable download spots
What is the camera or source of footage?
Thanks for your reply the video clips are taken with Panasonic cameras FZ-100 FZ-200 & DMC-FZ -1000 I have elements 10 & 14 & lightroom 4 when I try to play
them in elements 10 I get this message. unable to load
video clips because your system does not have the required CODEC installed. they don't say what codec required.
Those cameras shoot AVCHD and the 1000 can shoot 4K.
As I recall when I was using 10, it was not ready for AVCHD 2.0 with 1920x1080 at 60 frames per second. Until 13, 4K didn't work at all.
If you have 14, why are you trying to make 10 work?
I have a number of video clips in elements 10 that I cant play so I don't know what is on them. I tried moving them
to no avail .I want to save them before removing elements 10 from computer.
