Hello all, I am wondering if you feel this is a good deal? If not what should the price be, to be fair? Thanks Marty

Probably a bit optimistic on the price - the good news is you can make a lowball offer ....! ($1200)

Check the prices of new and used at reputable dealers (warranties, etc) and compare and add in the risk factors.

It seems high to me. Local consignment on that lens is $400--and they tend to be on the high side. Nikon USA has a refurbished D610 for $1150. I'd personally go refurbed over EBay

Looking at recent sales (not asking prices!) on eBay, I would say this listing is reasonably priced, especially with free shipping.
- used D610, just under $1000
- macro lens for about $350
- 24-85mm lens is around $300
- SB100 is at least $100
- camera bag is $50
If you really want all this stuff, offer him $1700 and see what he counter offers. Good luck.

What lens? I think we got lost in translation. There are 2. OK so a refurb goes for 1150 the consignment lens(?) is 400 the Tokina you cant find under 400, we are 1950 not counting SD card, mint Domke bag 139 at Hunts, plus the mint Nikon SB-400 flash and a back up battery. I think I convinced myself! lol

24-85. I missed the Tokina which didn't catch my eye…I suppose because I have a macro lens in that focal length. Clearly, I didn't consider all of the items. Value really depends on condition…. So it sounds like a better deal than I thought. For me, bags are worth nothing: I already have too many of those-- and they don't have much resale here in my city. The SB-400 is worth picking up-- those have been discontinued for the SB-500.

Go for it!

BTW: there's a new posting in the UHH classified for a D610 + 24-105 + 20mm for $1500. Also a D7000with 16-85 for $700.

There is no mention as far as I can tell if its a USA model or a gray market. Personally, I wouldn't touch a gray market camera unless I bought it as a disposable when trouble happens. The price is a little high. But everything depends upon condition.

Listing says "USA not grey".
