wow nice camera! i love that is also available in that dark rasberry color. why let pentax have all the fun? but when will Nikon learn and put the af motor back in the body where it belongs for consumer cameras? irks me to no end.

24 meg is tempting, but there are other features I would want. Waiting for d7000 to come down a bit. Primarly for FPS & # of focal poins...11 vs 39. just sayin

Is there a particular reason, other than cost, that Nikon would NOT have image stabilization in all of their most recent models?

I would guess the reason is they have invested VR in their lenses. BTW, I believe Sony has image stabilization in their dslr bodys...check it out
