Have anyone heard of Photography Institute (PI) thinking of taking lessons to improve my skills in this thing i love to do ,any suggestion on schools will be helpful to thanks in advansce
I have never heard of them either. I have taken a few online classes at CreativeLive.com. I highly recommend them. They are free, to watch, on the day of the class or you can pay for the class and have access to and/or download the classes forever.
New York Photoghaphy Institute has been around for years; don't know if this is the one you mentioned or not.

Ignore the "outdated" reviews you may have seen about NYIP. They have updated to cover digital. They talk a little about film, but now it is "in case you want to shoot film", but it primarily talks about digital.
Years ago when I took the class, it was just the opposite. The focused on film, and talked just a bit (in case you want to try it) about digital. They have updated their program, and in my humble opinion it is still the best.
I recently took the NYIP course. I have no reservations in recommending it. The faculty has a real interest in helping their students. It is a good solid basic course and I speak from experience having attended extensive training in photography over the past 40+ years.

Try your local community college too - they usually have great summer programs
I took a two-day course at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara quite a few years ago. It was incredible! It was so thorough and focused! I would love to do it again!
I don't know if they still do seminars, but I think I will look into them.
I have also done some sessions by Nikon and American Photo. A bit of a crapshoot. IMHO.
I took the NYIP course and it was very helpful.
Took two days from the Rocky Mountain School of Photograpy last month. They were very good. They do things around the country.
