Yes, It came from Massachusetts to California.
It's now in Sacramento. Hopefully it'll get here in the next couple of days.

It has been in the news. FedEx was so overwhelmed (I believe UPS was too, but not as much) by the huge on line sales late in the season that they literally couldn't move them all on time. I don't know what else they did but many of their delivery people volunteered to work Christmas Day.
Yes, their people gave up being with their families to get as many packages as they could to people on Christmas Day. I understand many of them are still working longer or even double shifts to get all that stuff to people.
On line sales are growing like crazy. So next year order very early if possible.

I had an order shipped by FEDEX from Hong Kong last Wednesday (HK time) and it arrived at my home on Thursday. Talk about fast service. Unfortunately, it required a signature and I wasn't at home to sign so FEDEX brought it again yesterday. The Fedex delivery woman said they were still delivering packages that were supposed to have been delivered last Thursday and that she personally had not received several items that she had ordered,

I do not have gripe with fedex but the USPS, sent a register letter to I taly on 10/14/2015 from Melrose Maleft NY on the 10/22/15, today 12/29/15 still no letter? Happy new-year to the postal service!!!!!

Not FedEx, but DHL. I ordered something that was shipped on December 11th. It got to Melrose Park, IL. After it sat for a week, I called them. Was on hold for almost an hour and it flipped into a messaging system. You leave your name and number. They will call you back. Still waiting. I was not hopeful that they would call back so I sent them a message regarding the package on their email system. Still waiting. I contacted the seller. He sent me an email a couple of hours later. DHL has lost the package. Seller wants to know if he can send another. Not a chance of getting it. I reordered from another on Tuesday and received the package the day after Christmas. They used USPS. The best way to go.
From now on, I will always check their mailing system. If it is DHL I will order from another.

Our experience here on island of Hawaii has been that Fedex has been o.k. this year but UPS is having real problems. Items sent 2nd business day from San Francisco a week ago still not delivered and UPS workers confirm the company is overwhelmed with the volume this year. Everyone is shorthanded. What we need is a good depression.

A few months ago I ordered an item from Amazon. The item was supposed bo be at my home in 5 days. Well It passed by my area and went to a fedex facility in Mass and sat there for 5 days and did not move. Needless to say It was late. I will not use FedEx ever except when there is no other option.

For me it seems that UPS is the fastest then FedEx next with USPS the last...Rich

don't blame the carrier. a lot of times the place you ordered it from was probably out of stock. so they had to order it and who knows how that was shipped.

I had the same experience... My package left HongKong on Tues morn before Christmas at 9am EST. and arrived at my house in Northern Michigan at 1pm on Weds. And it is a 14 hour flight from HK to Memphis. Couldn't believe the speed of delivery.

Speed is not an issue for me. Rather the quality of the shipping is more important. We had to stop using UPS several years ago because they were tearing up boxes and crushing contents. We were spending far too much money on replacing damaged pictures and frames. We switched to FedEx and to this date have never had a damaged shipment. Will never use UPS again and we specify our vendors to send components to us via FedEx or USPS. Could it be that the union goons don't care?

FedEx and UPS have always given good service EXCEPT when they "hand off" to the USPS, which, in my area (Memphis suburb) is a total joke. We are retired and do most of our purchases online, so are frequent UPS and FedEx customers.
