One of the many arches you will see at Bryce. This is a 3 shot HDR processed in LR and Topaz.

EDIT - If this is an 'After' photo, please include a 'Before' photo. This section is entitled HDR Photography -- Before & After.
We want to see the post processed improvement.

tomc601,

Now that you have provided a before and after sample you can see how the sky was handled during the HDR processing. It does not look natural.

One of the powerful operations of HDR processing is to widen the exposure range of an original single capture. You have widened the shadows to include some important details, but the sky now includes an unnatural dark band.

You may have over processed the scene, the shadowed rock faces indicate a tiny bit of over cooking the image. I suggest you try the HDR processing again and look closely at the sky while adjusting the sliders. You may have to stop the HDR process before you get the result you are looking for, and save the file, then proceed with image editing tools to control the sky, or the shadowed faces.

Ok I'll admit I don't do much with HDR as Post...
My gut tells me I'd like the image better with a post approach that worked on the exposure of the image and shadows south of the horizon. Less pop more reality IMHO.
I'd take a pass but only have my iPhone with me today.
Please value my opinion for the price I charged... which is nothing📸
