He always seemed like a gentleman, a true nice guy. 8-)
Grew up watching him and American Bandstand. (thought I could dance LOL). You didn't tune in to watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve, you tuned in to watch Dick Clark. He seemed to be ageless. RIP Dick Clark RIP...

That's sad he was truly an American icon.
What a class act guy. He was great and never aged a bit. I remember watching him host "American Bandstand" as a teenager in the 60's (now you know how old I am). He was one of a kind and....Dick Clark I salute you...farewell my friend.

Yeah, we just found out on the news. My mom got a little teary. I am glad I got one last chance to see him on the New Year's Rockin' Even party. Farewell Dick Clark you will be missed.
We'll all sadly miss him. He was the original inventor of Music Television years before MTV.
Will miss seeing him on tv on new years.

I used to watch Bandstand when I was a kid. I remember when he had Martha and the Vandellas on. He asked Martha Reeves what a Vandella was, she said it was a female vandal. That may have been the only time he was at a loss for words.
