The form and function in the title refers to the motorbike of course. Now if ol' Billy was a sexist male chauvinistic pig he may have called it
Babe on a Bike.

While the foreground is technically sound I’m of the opinion that the blur non blur background draws the eye away from the subject……adding nothing of consequence to the photo, unless that was your intent Mr. Spad.

My posts young Frank are always as intended and this is indeed not really designed to have much in the way of consequence. It is a slightly irreverent take on the whole form and function idea. My end of year bash over the head of another photographic cliche. Just may have time for a leading lines one as well or even that empty space malarkey lol.
I would hate to feel your eye was drawn to the babe so had to invent a way to draw it away somewhat.

No sweat as I'm quite happy with the babe I've got. There's no question in my mind that you post what you intend.......it's just that I am not always sure of your intent but think I have come quite close this time around.

Hey Billy, the color blue really draws me in but at my age I should stay away from both the babe and the bike, I do like the image, Tom

I know you're not one for too many rules Billy but the one about having slightly more margin below the subject than above would help this shot - and would remove some of that blurry thing you've done to it! Not keen on the blur at all really, but the desat works nicely and would be enough to create the separation - which is what gives the image that rather nice depth. Great subject, on both counts.

This is image is not compelling for its lack of light and composition. The perspective is ordinary. You want ordinary, shoot waste high, you want extraordinary, it is going to have to be a much different view. Consider down at the ground and shooting up and much closer or even from up high. The background is distracting, consider shooting wide open. Decide who is subject...

I can picture her on a bike of the future - maybe 50 years, or so?

Nice looking woman which you have snapped loverly. Looks like both would be a handful to negotiate.

Love the warmth of the colour of the gal and the rest of the photograph on the cool side. Lovely blue of the bike. Nice work, Mr. Pad.

I must be getting old and losing my eyesight, I didn't notice the bike until someone mentioned it.
