Merry Christmas Tom!

Assuming you have access, would you mind switching a few of the 'presents' for me? I'd love to see how it looks with a minor adjustment.
- Can you switch the small green box with the blue bag and Santa? The exact same setup, just mirrored with Santa inward as he is now.

Maybe a tad soft on the front focus, but I doubt anyone would know but us and it should make for a beautiful Holiday Card! Thank you again! S-

Lights seems flat and image itself looks soft. Composition also seems off with that candle so near the left border and cutting the plant. I would suggest trying again, experimenting with a few different position of the elements and be a bit more careful with the focus and try more than one light source.

Oh yes, give the candle a bit more room! S-

I wonder how the display would look without the candles? I agree about trying a few different "poses," as well as more depth of field. Did you use a tripod? If not, need to up the shutter speed a little. That means you'll need higher ISO or more light, as mentioned, from another source.

Congrats on this appealing holiday vignette; looking forward to more!

Hi Linda, did use tripod and 2sec time delay might use smaller aperture, iso 400. If I recall I used manual focus. Thanks for looking and comments. I have posted a redo, Tom

The image is what it is. If you wanted a Christmas still life, much work is needed. There is not enough room in here to list all of the possibilities but much better light and composition is needed. There is no focus and the mood is missing. Set up a table, arrange the objects, use more than one light and different positions, consider the background and a singular focus, or cluster.

Hi Mark, thanks for looking and your comments. I'm very limited in what I can do here. I did try flash and the color was real bad. On my redo I went to f/8 for better dof and did manual focus. This kind of thing is new to me, if you have the time please take a look at my redo, Merry Christmas, Tom

Look at the image, both left and right edges are cut off. You can't so that. Eliminate some objects and get much closer to start. Create a soft edge all around. Got a colorful sheet/table cloth, black velvet or wrapping paper, use that as potential background. Add drama, light the candles? Shoot from higher perspective? Zoom in and tight another option? Don't use a direct flash, it will create harsh shadows. Have fun.
