Photoshop CC 2015 - Lighting Effects Filter Question

I recently attempted to use the Render Lighting Effects filter, and I found that the control handles had vanished. They would only re-appear if I hovered the cursor over an 'invisible' control point and clicked the mouse. As soon as the mouse button is released, the controls vanish again. Needless to say, this makes sizing and moving the effect extremely challenging. As far as I know, it worked normally before the last Photoshop CC 2015 update.

Has anyone else experienced this problem while using this filter lately? I have the latest graphics driver available for my computer, and I made sure that View>Extras and View>Show>All were set. And, I've even tried resetting all preferences. Nothing seems to help. This is not a filter I use often, but the loss is annoying.

I just checked my copy of PS CC 2015 and the filter still was working like it should . I then checked to see if I had the latest updates for PS and camera raw . It showed there was an update for both . I went ahead and allowed the download and install of the updates . Then I rechecked the filter and it still worked like it should . You may have to call adobe if you try everything else already . Maybe someone has had the same problem and fixed it , I don't know . I just wanted to let you know the update did not screw up my filter . Sorry I couldn't help ,Tommy

Have you tried resetting lighting effects once in Lighting Effects (top right) "Rest Lighting Effects"

Thanks, Tommy and Doug. I tried resetting lighting effects also. It still doesn't work properly. As I move over the effect area a label is visible that says, Move, Rotate, Change Width, or Change Length, depending on where the cursor may be. When I click, the outline and control points appear. I'm getting used to it, and can function if needed, but like I said... it is annoying. Again, thanks for checking.

I think if you open Adobe Creative cloud, ya know the pop up that tells you you have updates, I believe if you click on install PS, it will do a repair. I'm sure you can back out if I'm wrong. Save any presets etc. first should you do it.

If I were really desperate, I have a cloned earlier copy of my system hard drive that does not have the latest Photoshop CC updates. I could restore that drive. But, this one, seldom used, filter is the only part of the application giving me trouble. I think I'll just wait for the next couple of Win 10 and Photoshop updates to see if anything changes again. Thanks, again.
