Stunningly beautiful place in Cornwall, always infested with tourists of which, at the time I suppose I was one. Any thoughts.

Yeh, i wish the tourists would pack up, go home, and give us tourists some elbow room to shoot in.

Oh you are so right. I was a tourist in New Zealand recently and a Kea (beautiful parrot) was happily playing in a car park when a busload of other tourists arrived. They got out of the bus, iPhones and selfie sticks everywhere and they proceeded to try and take a pic of the Kea. But everyone of them tried to get in front just a tad to get the unobstructed view and of course the kea moved away, keeping a safe distance. So as all of them vied for position I watched them move en mass like some weird blobby animal chasing after the parrot. I ended up taking a pic of the tourist group chasing the bird. And when they all left, because their guide told them there was a fantastic pic to be taken of a stream shooting through a hole in the rock just down the track, I waited. The Kea laughed (or maybe I am being a little anthropomorphic) and I managed to get a couple of lovely shots. So there I was feeling very clever to have outsmarted the hordes but I was kidding myself. In that situation let the tourists elbow each other and bide your time and get the shot, but don't forget you are a tourist as well and there is probably some photographer standing right behind you, waiting to take that special, only-they-have-seen-it pic, rolling her/his eyes waiting for you to get out of their way. And the guide was right the stream coming through the rock was spectacular especially when they all left for the next photo opportunity.
BTW UHH has done some strange things to this pic. It looks fine on my puter, it looks ok on the UHH small size but in the download the yellows look a tad oversaturated and the shadows seem a little intense. Ah well, one day I will figure out how this website works.
Thanks for your comment it brought a smile on an otherwise fairly ordinary evening.

Love this shot! Reminds me of minniev's "little people." The tourists are just as interesting as St. Michael's and I really like this long perspective. I especially appreciate that the white dog is clearly visible. Wish all were in focus. There's a white streak by the young woman whose photo is being taken that I think you could blend with the sand. Also, very much like your commentary about the tourists and the bird...could be turned into a poem!

Yup I loved the dog too. The white streak by the woman is actually rather interesting. In this area, as a tourist magnet with loads of history, all of the seaside shops sell the usual plastic rubbish including a plastic pirate cutlass. That's what is in her hand and she seems to be doing the 'avast ye landlubbers' pirate speak while the other person does the inevitable iPhone pic. So I decided to leave it in because of what it was but you are probably right, it does distract a little.
Many thanks for the feedback.
