I think you can go back to the photo and click on Quote reply, then put something in their and send, then the edit box should come up and you can take it off from there.

After going back and re-reading the terms of this site, I do not want photos of family members to become the possessions of this website to do whatever they choose to do with them..

By making a submission, Visitor grants the administration and the owners of the Website a worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licenseable and transferable license to use in any way, reproduce and distribute the submission and prepare derivative works of the submission without further permission. I don't mind posting some photos but when it comes to children, their policy does not sit well with me. Yes it is the responsibility of the individual to read all this, but its like so many other things, you have to agree to enjoy the site. They put you in a very difficult situation.. kind of "Play by my rules or don't play at all". Their policy will prevent people from interacting with a lot of posts on here in the future. Such a shame too as this is a very good site and photos often help explain something faster than just words. Sad situation....

Send a message to admin asking them to please explain why they have such a policy. Tell them how you feel. They may makes some adjustments.

Just something to note for any internet site where you might post a pic. Any pic can be copied form any internet site regardless of the site's conditions of use. I can simply take a screen shot of the pic and capture it that way. Will not be as good as the posted graphics file but there you go!

Also, I am pretty confident that this site and others like it make their $$$$ by selling our pics to others such as stock picture sites like Shutterstock, Fotolia, Dreamstime.

Also be advised that removing a photo you have posted will have no effect. I am also pretty sure all photo uploads are copied into an area that keeps a copy so a future deletion will not delete the original.

To post and protect your photos you can watermark across the majority of the photo, post at a low resolution / high grain, etc but who does that when you want all to see a great photo you took.

Your comment on the kid angle is very appropriate. I would never recommend posting any info on a minor to include name and most certainly not a pic with or without identifying location.

Good subject

I'm sure $$$$ will win out over ethical standards 99% of the time...... no wonder so many people abhor advertising, but I would love to be proven wrong......
