Panasonic Lumix fz1000 - anyone have any guides or suggestions

i just received a new Panasonic Lumix fz 1000 -- looks like a great camera but much more complicated than my Canon and Nikon Bridge cameras -- i.e. a zillion menu options. Does anyone who has one have any suggestions to get it up and running quickly - probably on the most automatic settings for now? I've read the manuals which have made things even more complicated sounding. Anyone know of a good book or online guide to step by step me through the initial setup and beyond? I'd like to be shooting in RAW full time...everything else is pretty much up for grabs. Thanks for your help!!

Turn the dial on top of the camera to P, then you can start taking pics while you learn how to use other settings.
