A couple of weeks ago my brother-in-law wanted me to photograph one of his cars. There were 70 or so of these made in 1972. One recently sold at auction for $100k, but my brother in law's doesn't have the original engine with the serial number that matches the VIN, but has a 1972 455 cu, so it's worth about $60k. Every single part in the car has been worked on. It has 110 miles since the restoration was complete.
Terrible light in most of these
I like #4 with the mountains even though they are faded.

The light sucked. I had no control over timing; he wanted the car photographed at midday. That was just the opposite of when I would have chosen to photograph it.

awesome car, :-P
What a beautiful car. Most performance car enthusiasts have no clue that the Buick GS455 Stage 1 option was one of the fastest street cars on the road. The Buick GS Fan Club president is or was Richard Lasseter (no kin to me), who resides in Valdosta, GA. He had a 70 Stage 1 Buick that was tough! Engine was slightly modified with an Edelbrock intake, 850 cfm Holley carb, mild aftermarket camshaft, and headers. The car had a factory 3.64 rear end gear ratio and it would run buddy. Surprised many a muscle car. Richard also had a Buick GS race car. I was stationed at Moody AFB at the time and I went with him to Gainesville, FL to try out the car at the drag strip there. I remember it running the 1/4 mile in the high 10s first time out, very impressive indeed.
Haven't seen one of these in a while, so thanks for sharing sir.
