I have $350 of Amazon credit and I want to use it on a wide angle lens. All of the Tokina lenses (11-16 mm (old and newer version), 11-20 mm) on Amazon do not come with the USA 3 year warranty, however, they are "fulfilled by Amazon". I contacted Tokina and they said these are grey market and would not service them under warranty.

The Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 is sold by Sigma on Amazon so that does come with a US warranty.

Any thoughts on which way to go by those that have used these lenses??
In addition, can you use the Sigma Dock with this Sigma lens??

My research, for what it is worth, leads me to the Tokina but not having the USA warranty scares me

The Sigma Dock is for all their Global Vision lenses, that includes the Art, Sport and Contemporary lines.
The 10-20mm is an older DC EX lens so no, it will not work with the dock tuning system.

The HUB works with the A (Art), C (Contemporary) and S (Sport) lenses in the Global line.

The 10-20 is not among them. But it is a good deal at the current price of $449.00

I had the Tokina 11-16mm on my D7100, and it was fine. It was the U. S. version, and I paid $690 for it. When I sold the D7100, I sold the lens for $502. For the current Amazon price, I wouldn't be concerned about the warranty. I've been shooting since the 1970's, and I've never had a camera or lens serviced, except for the D600 sensor spot recall.

Absolutely not. There are a total of 17 lenses in the Global vision line, with more coming out regularly. Here is a listing of them all:

I have the Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 and use primarily for real estate shots. Stopped down slightly it is extremely sharp and easy focus (Sony A mount). I have shot a few landscapes and panaramas with it, you will not be disappointed, but use the hood (protection and flare reduction). I have an UV filter (82mm!) and get occassional flare. I have used Tokina lenses and own a monster 28-70 f/2.8. great lenses, also. I prefer the feel of the Sigma lenses to the Tokinas, but that is very sujective.Sigma is my go to lens maker now. Another lens you might look at is the Sgma 17-70 f/2.8-4.0, a very competent "Contemporary" series lens. I have not used the dock on it. If Adorama or Cameta is the Seller, they usually give a "kit" at the MSP to give better value. Good luck with your lens search.

There is also a dock for the Sport lens - I have one. Docks are lens specific

I have the Sigma 10-20mm lens and found it incompatible with my D7100. It worked great with my D90, but it only works on the 7100 when I have it closed down to 20mm.

Have no fear of the Tokina lens. Had mine 3 years, bought thru Amazon, absolutely no problems. But the same can be said for my 12 year old 18-70 kit lens!
