last ride for shuttle

just wondering if anybody from Fla. or the DC area got any pics of the last flight of the shuttle

I did watch it on the regional news station. I saw the Enterprise as if was flown through in 1986 but decided to forgo this. The news reported traffic was horrendous around the bridges.

I still can't get my mind to accept the image of the shuttle riding on top of a 747.

Hi!

That was one thing I watched when I saw the news report. The one report had a good shot of it coming in for a landing and you could tell just how ginger the landing was and how the weight made that 747 squat down.

Now it is a normal flight for the NASA flight. Taking that first TO/Landing had to be something.

Just a shame now we have a ton of bucks sunk into the Space Station and now forced to pay Russia for a ride up or down to it.

Nice pictures. I had also wondered if anyone here had gotten some pics, but hadn't asked. I am glad to see at least one of us did.
