Has anyone used one of these newer printers? And, if so, do they do a decent job with photos? I would love to have the Canon Pixma Pro100 but it and similar printers are just too large. Plus, I need to be able to copy and scan so that also eliminates them. So, I'm looking for something smaller, all-in-one, and cheap enough that I can use third party inks and not feel bad if they cause a problem down the line. I've looked on the InkFarm and Precision Inks websites and the cartridges are too new to be listed yet so that's something for me to think about also.
thanks,
ron
I replaced my PRO-100 printer with the Epson XP 630 and could not be happier. Much cheaper ink, extremely good image quality. I only used the Canon for 4x6 and 5x7 prints anyway and the Epsons are every bit as good if not better for much lower per print cost. I have two large format roll paper printers for larger work.
Thanks. Good to know and it helps me make a decision.

The reason it needed replacing was the cost of the print head was more than the cost of a replacement PRO-100 printer. The print head was severely clogged by aftermarket ink cartridges. I only use factory inks. The small savings of cheap ink is just not worth it.
