Amazon still has some brand new Nikon D300s cameras for $1050. I purchased two new D7000 cameras from them this year. In their website enter Nikon D300s in the search box.

B&H has new, but they are imports. Price - $1,199.
Concern is that Nikon won't deal with imports. But, there are firms around that will repair if needed.
I'd question Amazon purchases unless Amazon handlers customer service issues.
