The improvements over 10 are worth the price.

Except for Slideshows as can now only use their templates rather than set up your own show with time and transitions as with 10.

I will add it would be good to keep Elements 9. You may not like the presets that determine for you what your photos should look like. After I bought version 14 for Dehaze and Shake Reduction my Lightroom cc upgrade provided Dehaze. I am pretty new to Photoshop and still have a lot to learn so I still rely on Elements 13 to so some PP that I can't do in Lightroom.

So if you want a customized slide show, set it up with your PSE10. The pictures don't reside in the PSE Organizer so can't you could open them with Win Photo viewer or whatever they call the MAC equivalent?

That is what I ended up doing. I exported the slide show images from Lightroom to a folder, imported them into PS 10 Organizer, and set up the slide show as a video with music. Now you ask why did I not export the slideshow directly from Lightroom CC? Because when I tried it shut Lightroom down, completely. Now if someone can help me fix this I would be very appreciative.

Can't help with this one. With no sort of explanations or directions coming with the 30 day trial for Lightroom6, I was so frustrated that I uninstalled the whole thing! Fortunately there was no cost involved except a period of highly elevated blood pressure. PSE14 on the other hand works pretty well, and I have Kelby Scott's book on order from Amazon not due 12/23.
