You just have to learn that "the cat is not there for you, you are there for the cat" then everything will be OK.
Nice shot -- nice cat! Had one that favored the top of the kitchen stove on the work surface between burners over the pilot light.

I have several that think the sink is a great place to sleep and feel that you are inconveniencing them by trying to use it. Thank goodness I have 2 bathroom sinks and the kitchen sink is a double.
BTW, I have 2 that look just like the one in the picture.....Katie and Tinker.
Hugs from me to you kitty!!!
He fells blameless Steve, you are only there for his convenience.
Just a question of whether a cat owns you or a dog(s).
Just consider yourself fortunate the cat tolerates you hanging around.
At least you don't have to vacuum up the fur. Wash it right down the sink followed by some Draino.

Cats will be cats. Go where and when they want with no care for what anyone else thinks. Gotta love cats.
Having lived with cats most of my life, it has always amazed me that they would curl up in a sink, as cats generally look for the warmest spot to sleep, and porcelain sinks definitely aren't warm! I, too, had a cat that would sleep on the stove surface over the pilot light. I couldn't put my hand on it, but he could sleep on it. Their coats must provide excellent insulation abilities.

I live with two cats who tolerate me, one is a Siamese Tom Cat, so yes I have seen such brazenness. But it is still funny. :)
Dogs have masters cats have servants.
LOL Looks all to familiar, Steve; our Oreo does that, too. I have a photo of him in the sink, too! Good shot!

Yes, I told my older daughter I stay with that. She tries to treat him like a dog, I tell her he is your master, not like a dog.
Any way he is a Tom, and will tolerate some petting, until he tires of it. Then he will bite you. So we named him "Church", after the pet cemetery cat. LOL
