I spent my first 44 yrs. on lake Erie, and was always aware of it's power. I experienced it when on my 19 footer with 20 or less mph winds I found myself in 12 foot waves. within 5 minutes I was headed back up the river, never to risk that lake again.

Amazingly good photos. What I also noticed is how brown the water looks. Is this the result of pollution

WOW!!! I've always been an Atlantic Ocean guy, never realized a lake could turn that ugly!! Pretty scary!!!

Because of the shallower depth it can get wilder more quickly than the ocean.

My son and I fish Erie 4 or 5 times a year when weather permits. Must watch weather all the time and have a radio. Great fishing, thanks for the photos. Must admit though I have to take SeaSick pills each day (Bonine).
