WOW---What timing and perception!!----Just GREAT!!
I was also amazed when I saw the ice of the Detroit River breaking up. Large and powerful.
I spent my first 44 yrs. on lake Erie, and was always aware of it's power. I experienced it when on my 19 footer with 20 or less mph winds I found myself in 12 foot waves. within 5 minutes I was headed back up the river, never to risk that lake again.
Bloody awesome, amazing images, I love Eerie Erie, and Black Friday for the spooky faces, thanks for the post.
Amazingly good photos. What I also noticed is how brown the water looks. Is this the result of pollution
WOW!!! I've always been an Atlantic Ocean guy, never realized a lake could turn that ugly!! Pretty scary!!!
I've been on it. Never again after those images!

Because of the shallower depth it can get wilder more quickly than the ocean.
Fantastic lighting and waves.

My son and I fish Erie 4 or 5 times a year when weather permits. Must watch weather all the time and have a radio. Great fishing, thanks for the photos. Must admit though I have to take SeaSick pills each day (Bonine).
