An appealing candid and well-captioned, Geoff! I like the choice of monochrome for it. Nice one!

Excellent capture of these fellas, each in there own world while sitting together, just comical when given thought. The sign adds nothing to this scene for me but that’s a personal call.

Thanks a lot Tp, It was just the complete lac awareness of the three gents, I could have taken a dozen shots in there faces and they wouldn't have noticed.

Cheers Frank, you probaly right about the sign, I may well take it out, I think to crop it would unbalance the picture?-- thanks for your feedback,

Geoff

I'm not usually interested in people photography (of any type), but this one I very much identified with...as the tuned-out listeners, not the speaker :)

So much captured in these three expressions and body language, in the fleeting moment of time. I love it, Geoff!

Hi Linda, Im quite happy to photograph people in a situation that has a story attached, in fact on the same day as this I grabbed a shot of a wee toddler running away from his mum, again it had a story.
As for your feedback, we had a TV sitcom about 3 old codgers, Foggy, Combo and Cleggie, all three different, and about there daily life in Yorkshire, and these three reminded me of them.

Cheers

Geoff

Thanks John, This was in France a while back and after taking this shot I went off around the village, and on passing them on the way back he was still rabbiting on and the others still in exactly the same position.

Welcome to FYC! Look around, offer up your ideas and keep sharing nice images like this one! This "Grumpy Old Men" shot is a classic, with the Big Talker and the Long Suffering Listeners. Great capture and composition to tell a fun story that can be understood in any culture.
