Frank,
You are a master of finding aggregates of rusted metals, flaked paints and enamels, and aged woods and discovering perspectives disclosing to best advantage their inherent composition.
This is one of your best.

Frank, You managed to find a collection of interesting items and exposed the collection with nice composition and good exposure. It is quite an interesting photograph.

Perfect perspective and processing. Is that a sewing machine back there?? Terrifically interesting shot, Frank.

If you’ve the time I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on perfect perspective.

You know I'm on UHH 5 hours a day, so there's always time for you, Frank! And thank you for asking this question and the ones from yesterday. Obviously I've gotten lazy about 'splainin' myself :)

The close and low-angle perspective (eye-level, if you will) made me feel I was in the scene; the frame is filled with interesting elements right in front of me to touch and examine. Nothing is separating me from the pieces, nothing draws my eye out of the frame.

This is my favorite so far of your shed photos. The way you've situated yourself for the shot not only gives a great perspective into the "pile" but uses those leading/receding lines to organize the image and lead my eyes all through the array. Excellent use of lines, indeed.

You've managed to get adequate focus throughout either by careful choices, good luck, stacking/merging or some combination of all. Lighting is also managed very well. My only thought would be to try toning down the light "thing" in the upper left a bit to see if that would make it better or not.

Fine processing choice too, just the right balance between detail and subdued. Really nice one Frank.

I actually did not, only 5? Thank you for explaining your perception of perspective for this shot....of a sewing machine.

This is my favorite so far of your shed photos. Th... (show quote)

I’ll give the light thing a go although I feel it helps give balance to the brighter lower right corner of the frame.

As for adequate focus…...I’ll go with "careful choices” as this was a single capture image. All that other stuff is beyond my pay grade at this point.

It was a struggle to keep the pp tame. Thanks for your detailed response.

I am liking the down low look also. Love that sewing machine.

Don't know if it was possible, but down low, more to the left, and if you can get the sewing machine between the heavy pipe and the shelf. (might not have worked)..

Some very neat places that you go to!
