There's a load more detail in those thar timbers that needs dragging out. St3v3 has got the detail going right but the sepia seriously sucks. So get that in BW.
Great subject not keen on the vegetation in the background might try a very gentle vignette to keep the eyes in the center.

I got lazy about the background but did not want to take away from the shoes with that beautiful timer.

I like your idea a lot--but I think it needs toned down some; it seems a little too bright for me.
