For those of you who remember back to their youth in 1977, Pink Floyd released their album, 'Animals.' The Album cover featured the Battersea Power Station, an iconic building on the banks of the Thames, London. The Power Station has, sadly, been converted into trendy flats ( I think it is called progress) but thankfully the two huge old cranes that used to unload the fuel for the power station are still there, quietly rusting away. IMO they are absolutely majestic.

Hope you dont mind me posting an unfinished image of a shot I had that came to mind when I looked at this. I too share your feelings of grandness of theses marvels. My shot does not even come close to showing their place in the world as yours.
