Not to be simply critical but I feel the HDR effect is a bit heavy. I used to take a lot of HDR but now have switched to focus stacking which creates less of the HDR visual effect but much of the tone depth.
I feel the composition and story the image tells is excellent. I would be interested in seeing the images without so much processing.

I don't know if it has a name or not. I've seen the term "grunge" used, but I am not sure whether or not it applies to the process you used. In any case I happen to like your subject matter and its post-processing because it clearly states your intention.

I like the effect, whatever it's called. It looks like a painting. Not for everyone of course, but the instagram crowd would probably side with me!

Ron, this photo isn't HDR. It was made from just one photo. I realize this type of style is not for everyone, but I do it to please myself. I also welcome both pro and con opinions and thank you for your time and effort in helping me improve my work.

Hi Walt! I had a tractor similar to this when I was a kid. You couldn't get me off it. When I turned 16, my Dad finally said, "Enough is enough!" :D

It amazes me how you find all the neat things to photograph. This has a really nostalgic feel and the processing fits it very well!

David, many call it HDR and others call it crap. Either way, I'm happy you approve!
Thank you!
