Are you telling us that Global Warming is a bunch of bull? Or is it that you don't believe mankind's presence has any effect on this matter? WHY, please, would there exist a conspiracy to foster the concept that global warming is a reality? I can think of why there's a conspiracy against global warming! So that Big Business can continue to make short term profits, only in their own best interests, while raping the planet.

Check solar cycles, in re: climate. Almost no climate change in the last 18 years, with straight data. Ask yourself when mankind has ever stopped even a minor rainstorm, never mind a volcano, which can undo 10 years of feel good global warming b.s. measures. Then imagine doing anything to meaningful to influence global climate. Your villains are big business, mine are the power hungry, greedy left. Sorry Charlie! The United States Navy along with the Canadian , Russian and various NATO navies are noticing changes at the North Pole . There is a definite thinning of ice there . Environmentalists look at this with alarm , environmentalists that have bought into politically driven science that is .
Data gathering shows an approximate one degree rise in temperature as the cause for this , but the cause for the temperature rise is still unknown . Many scientists do not support the carbon theory, a theory that is part of a political agenda of Leftists . The real danger here is that if global warming isn't cyclical but real in terms of a progressive temperature rise , we may never really know the real root cause of it because the Leftists have adopted the carbon theory as fact . And there adoption of this theory includes shutting down voices on the other side of this equation . Voices from scientists who beleive that carbon has very little to do with this phenomenon . When you politicize science and actually demonized alternative views you are playing a dangerous game in that you are in effect taking science out of the equation . Think about it . The actions for example of Al Gore is an arrogant and well calculated attempt of selling the carbon idea , and he has made a fortune off this . The notion that big business and Republicans want dirty air and water for big profits is wearing a bit thin , just like the ice in the artic circle . But if we don't all come together scientifically with politics off the table , we will all fall through the ice . Real science analyzes and tries to understand and solve problems . Politics of the Leftists in this case has actually thrown a lot of good science overboard . Not a smart thing , but the almighty buck is winning again . Carbon has become big business for the Left , make no mistake about it . And that in itself is cause for great alarm because the adoption of a single theory that fits an overall political agenda isn't science , it's pure arrogance . And what is that agenda ? It's basically an anti Capitalist movement . A movement that targets industry . A movement that's creating a new so called Green industry . Which in theory is OK as alternative energy engineering can yield cleaner air and water . But this also can be achieved by challenging industry , scientists and engineers to work on new technology for better water filtration systems and smoke stack scrubbers . The list is endless , including science that would allow for the clean burning of coal . So just imagine if you took politics off the table . But hey , that would be the smart thing to do , to embrace both sides of the equation with open minds and working together . But being smart isn't something that the Leftists are very good at . In fact , look at recent history , they're and vicious and arrogant bunch who are as much of a threat to our general well being as much as so called global warming . Oh , I'm sorry , that was a politically incorrect term , it's climate change now . I apologize because if accused by Leftists for using incorrect language I may offend someone or be labeled as being out of line . Do you see what is really going on here ?

The book "1421" records the findings of one of the Grand Chinese Fleets that circumnavigated the globe found a northern body mass that was green and ice free to nearly the north pole. From the documentation that land mass was Greenland. This only demonstrates that the earth has undergone many pertubations in the weather over its 4.9 billion years existence. But none of that nullifies the evidence at hand. The earth is a compkex system of three main parts in steady state equilibrium: the oceans, the land masses, the gaseous atmosphere. The totality of events in all three when taken together portend undesirable consequences. Are the hypothesis exact - well, no. Are there new factors not now understood - well, yes.

(obviously not) Did you look up the estimated sea level rise from melting Greenland? Clearly not, 24 ft shows up in the search results page with no need to click any further. Do you know how many cities of the ancient world would have been under water if Greenland had not had its ice? Again, no.

I know where you're coming from, evidence is evil. (Ignorance is strength!) Did you ever stop to wonder where you are going to get a cup of coffee the morning after you and your political compatriots burn the country down?

All I noted was what was related in a book, "1421" by Gavin Menzies, a retired British submarine commander, who took a great interest in the voyages of the Chinese Fleets of the early 15th Century. The historical record is what it is. From time to time, I peruse the papers in the IPCC where the evidence for global warming is presented. At 87 I am unaffected, but my grandkids and great grandkids are in for hell. As a student of physics, chemistry, engineering and math, it is not a matter of belief it is a matter of understanding the evidence. My call has been for an accomplished writer to summarize it in laymans terms.

Glacier Girl, a P-38 Lightning fighter plane crash-landed on the Greenland ice sheet in 1942 and was pulled piece by piece from under 268 feet of ice after only 50 years.
