I use UV filters on all my lenses. Have never had a problem with it.

Could they be reflections from tiny dust mites on whatever was between the canera and the scene.

Hi everyone, Its been some time since I have been on but I am back at it. I have been practicing with some different light techniques and can't figure out why I consistently getting those little red lights in the back ground. I am using a black velvet backdrop. I think that I am in the right place for this question but please let me know if I need to redirect elsewhere. f/1.4 1/160s ISO 200 50MM

They do look like lens flare to me, they are not only in the background, but all over your picture!

because you were speeding and a state trooper is behind you? sorry my smart alex gene sometimes must be obeyed. I honestly do not see the redlights. if you are taking shots low to the ground a small tabletop tripod may work
Love the humor. Camera was resting on floor.

Yup. I agree with internal glare between your front lens glass and the filter. You don't need, nor is there any advantage in having a filter on your lens for this sbot. There is no UV a d no dust.

First I thought maybe some dust in the air, then I think do u have any filters on the lens? it may be reflections off of the filter...
